Launch of Friends of the Cathedral of the Isles Appeal

The Friends of the Cathedral of the Isles Appeal was launched on Easter Sunday 2017 by The Honourable The Countess of Glasgow. The Countess spoke eloquently of the Cathedral & College’s historic significance and its contemporary mission, and drew attention to Friends’ projects such as conservation work on the chancel ceiling and Butterfield tiles.

The launch was followed by a thrilling and atmospheric concert by Alastair Chisholm and Jonathan Cohen, piano and Feargus Hetherington, violin. The generous encores concluded with an emotional performance of Highland Cathedral. The concert was followed by refreshments in the cloister. The event was introduced by Canon Alec Boyd.
